Most of the time, a beard balms main ingredient is beeswax. Beard butter is primarily compromised of butters such as shea and Mango butter. This causes beard butter to have a softer and more creamier composition. Beard Butter is not as firm as beard balm, therefore, not the preferred option if you're looking for a more styling and firm hold. However, beard butter has more benefits for its intended use. Beard butter is incredibly effective at locking moisture into the hair and skin. It is great for preventing itchiness. It is also fantastic for providing strong conditioning. It also helps in eliminating beard dandruff. In our beard butter, we use an emulsifying wax (BTMS-50). It helps in providing a light to medium/light hold. It is designed to be used once or twice a day.

MY BEARD BUTTER AND/OR BALM TURNED GRAINY?
During very warm weather, beard balms and beard butters may soften or even melt in transit. This is because they sit in warm delivery trucks, mailboxes or on porches. Shea and mango butters which are usually found in beard butters and beard balms have a low melting point. If these natural butters melt and cool too slowly, they can become grainy or gritty when they turn to a solid state. This is due to the various fatty acids in mango and Shea butter melting, cooling, and solidifying at different temperatures. Even though these products may turn grainy, The quality and benefits of the ingredients are not affected.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO HELP WITH THIS DURING WARM DAYS?
During warm days, it is best to refrigerate before ever opening the jars or tins. If you open these items, especially those in tins or jars, to check if melting has occurred, they may spill out and make a mess! So placing them in the refrigerator for two hours once they arrive is recommended BEFORE opening. We know it can be tempting to open them right away and smell that wonderful product you just purchased, but try and refrain yourself.
WHAT DO I DO IF MY BEARD BUTTER AND/OR BALM IS STILL GRAINY OR GRITTY?
